birdhouse bird feeders

At last, my phone is communicating with my computer!

This means I am able to update my being prepared post from January.

Here are the birdhouses painted:

The Guides added roofs, put a pencil in for a perch and (certainly my Guide has) hung them in the garden filled with seed.

The idea came from Aquila children’s magazine, which my girls love.

Ours has had some visitors – and although one starling was initially alarmed by the swing his weight created, he held on and carried on eating!

Being prepared

In the past I was an organised person, but I think that’s because it was just me.

Now, with a family, I am really quite disorganised, but the ‘preparing to teach’ course I did recently reminded me why preparation is definitely the key when it comes to running a well planned session.

With that in mind I have spent the evening painting juice cartons white in preparation for my Guide meeting tomorrow when we will be making birdhouse style bird feeders.

Eight down, 22 to go… 🙂
