I went to the hairdressers yesterday – it was a lovely quiet couple of hours.
While I was there I noticed one of the young hairdressers had a Heidi plait round her head. I asked how long her hair was and discovered it was in fact a faux Heidi plait – a one sided French plait (the hair is only scooped up into the plait from the bottom, the other side is left loose from the head) When you get round to the top of the head again, the long length of plait is tucked in and pinned.
It can be done on medium and long length hair which is great in our house. I had a go on oldest daughter’s hair and here is the result :
Not bad for an untrained hand – shows you how easy it is 😀
